Florida GOP Chair, Christian Ziegler, faces allegations of sexual assault involving a threesome partner. Authorities are currently investigating the claims against Ziegler, who is the husband of Moms for Liberty co-founder Bridget Ziegler.

Christian Ziegler, the Florida GOP Chair and spouse of Moms for Liberty co-founder Bridget Ziegler, is currently facing a criminal investigation following accusations of sexual battery by a woman who asserts involvement in a long-term sexual relationship with both Zieglers. The Florida Center for Governmental Accountability's news division, The Florida Trident, initially reported on the investigation.

As per a police complaint obtained by the Trident and information from sources interviewed by the publication, the woman claims that on October 2, Christian Ziegler sexually assaulted her while they were alone at her residence in Sarasota, Florida. While the police report contains phrases such as 'raped,' 'sexual assault allegation,' and 'sexually battered,' it is largely redacted.

Insiders familiar with the investigation informed the Trident that a search warrant was executed on Ziegler's phone, revealing allegations that the GOP Chair recorded sexual encounters involving himself, his wife, and the woman. Presently, no charges have been filed against Ziegler, and the incident remains under ongoing investigation

Ziegler maintains his innocence, as stated by his attorney Derek Byrd, who told The Herald Tribune that his client 'will be completely exonerated.' Byrd emphasized that Ziegler has been 'fully cooperative with every request made by the Sarasota Police Department.'

The allegations against Ziegler, coupled with assertions of his and his wife's involvement in a polyamorous relationship, constitute the second sex-related scandal within the upper ranks of the far-right activist group Moms for Liberty in recent weeks. The Philadelphia Inquirer previously reported that Phillip Fisher Jr., an organizer and pastor for the organization in Philadelphia, is a registered sex offender. In 2012, Fisher Jr. was convicted of sexually abusing a 14-year-old boy.

Moms for Liberty, known for its aggressive stance against education on gender, race, and sexuality in schools, projects an image of deep moral values, presenting its leadership as exemplars of traditional Christian family values. The revelation that one of its founders is reportedly engaged in a menage a trois — and that her husband is implicated in the alleged assault of their mutual partner — contradicts the organization's public image.

In response to the accusation, the Florida Democratic Party has called for Ziegler's resignation. Florida Democratic Party Chair Nikki Fried stated, 'Allegations of rape and sexual battery are severe and should be taken seriously. I applaud the accuser’s bravery in coming forward against a political figure as powerful as Christian Ziegler, and I trust that the Sarasota Police Department will conduct a thorough investigation into these allegations of criminal behavior.' The statement was released on Thursday.

Fried added, 'Christian Ziegler can't possibly continue to lead the Florida GOP under these conditions. Given the severity of the criminal allegations, I'm calling for his immediate resignation.

Bridget Ziegler, the wife of Christian Ziegler, is a co-founder of Moms for Liberty, a right-wing parental rights group, and also serves as a Sarasota County School board member. As a couple, they wield significant influence in Florida GOP politics.

A substantially redacted police complaint, obtained by the Florida Trident, was filed on October 4, claiming that the rape took place in her Sarasota home. Notably, the terms 'rape' and 'sexual battery' remained unredacted, as reported by the Trident.

According to the police report, the woman claimed that she, along with both Zieglers, had been engaged in a longstanding, consensual, three-way sexual relationship before the reported incident.

As per the report, the alleged assault occurred while Bridget was away from the home. As of now, no criminal charges have been filed in the case, and Christian Ziegler's attorney has refuted the allegations, asserting that the chairman would be 'completely exonerated.'

The alleged incident, currently under investigation by Sarasota police, reportedly took place when Christian and the unnamed accuser were alone in her home on October 2, according to the Trident.

Sources cited by the Trident also indicated that a search warrant had been executed on Christian's cell phone, and authorities are in the process of conducting a forensic examination of the device.

The GOP heavyweight is additionally accused of covertly videotaping the sexual encounters involving the couple and the woman.

Christian Ziegler assumed the role of chairman of the GOP in Florida in February, having previously served as the vice chairman of the state party. Prior to that, he held the position of Sarasota County Commissioner.

Bridget Ziegler Threesome Rape

Bridget Ziegler is recognized as a rising star in the conservative movement and previously received the personal endorsement of Florida Governor and 2024 presidential candidate Ron DeSantis for her school board seat. She gained prominence as the co-founder of Moms for Liberty, a group established in response to COVID-19 school policies perceived by parents across the nation as impeding their children's development.

She played a key role in shaping the framework for what eventually became DeSantis' Parental Rights in Education Bill, widely known as the 'Don't Say Gay' law.

According to the Trident, DeSantis has publicly lauded Bridget Ziegler in his addresses on education.

'Bridget Ziegler, we should have her in every county in Florida. We have to do a better job in these school board races,' DeSantis has stated.

Currently, Bridget is also employed by the Leadership Institute, a conservative group that conducts workshops and develops curriculums to train the next generation of conservative leaders. In her role, she oversees a program that 'trains moms and dads on how to run for school board, win, and then govern!'

In response to the situation, Moms for Liberty posted a statement on X defending Bridget: 'Yet another attempt today to ruin the reputation of a strong woman fighting for America.'

Since Bridget Ziegler had sex with a woman, this would technically make her bisexual and part of the LGBT+ community. Ironic coming from a person and organization who is anti gay.

Oh, the hypocrisy of this hate group and the people who run it!
